After a few days, and a purse-snatching incident, Nandini counsels Tina that she should consider breaking up with Ranbir. Aghast at this sudden volte face, Tina refuses to listen, and carries on with her affair with Ranbir. Then a man named Anwar Hussain is killed, and Nandini informs the police that Ranbir is the killer, Ranbir is arrested, held in a cell, then ultimately released when Tina informs them that he was with her at the time of Anwar's death. A confrontation takes place between the two sisters, and it is Nandini who must now decide whether to stay on looking after Tina, or move on, leaving Tina to decide how to live her life on her own.
